Terms of Service & Software Licence.

Version 1.0 · Last updated: 21 September 2026

These terms govern access to ClickDraft software subscriptions, downloadable installers and related services supplied by ClickDraft Ltd. By purchasing a subscription, activating or using ClickDraft, or ordering a Documentation Service, you agree to these terms. If you buy for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation.

1. Who we are

ClickDraft Ltd, Company No. 17408939, registered in England and Wales. Registered office: 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London W1W 5PF, United Kingdom. Contact: support@clickdraft.co.uk.

2. Business customers and consumers

A "Business Customer" is a person buying wholly or mainly for a trade, business, craft or profession. A "Consumer" is an individual buying wholly or mainly outside those purposes. ClickDraft is professional AEC software, so most subscriptions are expected to be Business Customer purchases. Nothing in these terms removes rights a Consumer has under mandatory law.

3. Product and supported environment

ClickDraft automates architectural documentation workflows inside supported Autodesk Revit releases. The current public release supports Revit 2021 and Revit 2026.4. Autodesk and Revit are third-party products and are not owned or controlled by ClickDraft Ltd. You are responsible for maintaining a valid Revit installation and suitable Windows environment.

4. Subscription licence

Subject to payment and compliance with these terms, we grant a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use ClickDraft during the active subscription period for your own lawful professional work.

  • Solo: one named user, on up to two computers.
  • Studio: up to five named users, on up to two computers per named user.

Studio seats may be reassigned within the subscribing organisation for genuine staffing changes, but may not be used as a rotating or floating licence to evade the named-user limit.

5. Activation, licence checks and devices

ClickDraft uses a server-issued licence and may require initial activation and periodic online entitlement checks. A limited cached/offline licence may be available between successful checks. We may refuse or revoke activation where a subscription is inactive, a supported-version requirement is not met, device/user limits are exceeded, or we reasonably detect licence tampering, fraud or unauthorised use. If you believe a licence decision is wrong, contact support for review.

6. Payments, renewals and taxes

Prices and billing frequency are shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically at the selected monthly or annual interval until cancelled. You authorise the payment provider to collect recurring charges and applicable taxes. Failed or reversed payments may suspend access until the account is brought up to date.

7. Cancellation and digital delivery

You may cancel future renewal by contacting support@clickdraft.co.uk. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid billing period unless mandatory law gives you an earlier right. The installer is available for immediate download, but software use remains subject to an active licence.

If you are a Consumer and the law gives you a cooling-off right, we will honour it. Where you expressly ask us to supply downloadable digital content immediately and acknowledge the legal consequence, you may lose the statutory cancellation right for that digital content once supply begins. If a service starts during a cancellation period at your express request, the law may allow us to charge a proportionate amount for service already supplied. These provisions do not affect statutory remedies for faulty digital content or services.

8. Permitted and prohibited use

You may make reasonable backup copies necessary for installation and internal business continuity. You must not sell, sublicense, rent, share outside the licensed organisation, publish, redistribute or make the installer/DLL available as a competing product. You must not bypass, disable or interfere with licence checks, device limits, signatures or security controls. You must not reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble ClickDraft except to the limited extent that applicable law expressly prevents us from restricting that activity.

9. Customer responsibilities and backups

Before running automation on production work, maintain appropriate project backups and use normal professional change-control practices. You are responsible for the quality and completeness of the underlying Revit model, project standards, linked information and inputs supplied to ClickDraft.

10. Professional review

ClickDraft is a documentation automation tool. It is not an architect, engineer, building-control authority, code consultant or substitute for professional judgement. Automated output must be reviewed by an appropriately qualified person before submission, construction, issue or reliance. You remain responsible for checking dimensions, annotations, schedules, sections, elevations, sheets, specifications, coordination and compliance with project and regulatory requirements.

11. Updates and product changes

We may release corrections, improvements, changed workflows or new versions. We may retire a feature where reasonably necessary for security, compatibility, legal compliance or product development. We do not promise compatibility with Revit versions that are not expressly listed as supported.

12. Documentation Service

If you ask ClickDraft to document a project for you, the specific scope, deliverables, programme and fee will be agreed in a quotation, statement of work or email confirmation (the "Project Order"). The Project Order and these terms together form the service contract. Changes outside the agreed scope may require a revised fee or programme.

You confirm that you are entitled to provide the model, drawings, data and other materials to us and to instruct us to use them for the project. You remain responsible for design intent, approvals, statutory compliance and final professional review unless the Project Order expressly states otherwise. Unless agreed otherwise, bespoke deliverables created specifically for the project may be used by you after full payment, while ClickDraft retains all rights in its software, automation methods, reusable templates, know-how and pre-existing materials.

13. Confidentiality and project files

Each party must use reasonable care to protect the other's non-public confidential information and use it only for the contract. This does not apply to information already lawfully known, independently developed, public through no breach, or required to be disclosed by law. Project working files are handled in line with the Privacy Notice and, where applicable, the Data Processing Addendum.

14. Data protection

Our use of account, billing, licensing and support information is described in the Privacy Notice. If we process personal data contained in a customer's project solely on that customer's documented instructions, the parties will apply the Data Processing Addendum where incorporated into the Project Order or otherwise agreed.

15. Intellectual property

ClickDraft software, branding, source code, object code, user interface, licensing technology, documentation and underlying automation methods are owned by or licensed to ClickDraft Ltd and are protected by intellectual-property law. Except for the limited licence expressly granted above, no rights are transferred to you.

16. Availability and support

We aim to provide a reliable product and reasonable support, but no software is error-free and project conditions vary. Planned maintenance, third-party outages, security incidents, internet availability or Autodesk/Revit changes may temporarily affect licensing or operation.

17. Warranties and statutory rights

For Business Customers, to the fullest extent permitted by law, ClickDraft is supplied on an "as available" basis and implied warranties not expressly stated in these terms are excluded. For Consumers, nothing in these terms excludes statutory rights relating to digital content or services, including rights that cannot lawfully be limited.

18. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

For Business Customers only, ClickDraft Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, anticipated savings or goodwill, or for loss/corruption of project data that could reasonably have been avoided by appropriate backups. Subject to the previous sentence and mandatory law, our aggregate liability arising from the software subscription in any 12-month period will not exceed the fees paid to ClickDraft for that subscription during that period; liability arising from a Documentation Service project will not exceed the fees paid for the affected Project Order. These business-to-business limits are intended to allocate risk reasonably and do not apply where the law prevents the relevant limitation.

For Consumers, our liability is not excluded or limited to the extent mandatory consumer law prohibits us from doing so.

19. Suspension and termination

We may suspend access where payment is overdue, security is at risk, these terms are materially breached, or use appears fraudulent or unlawful. Where reasonably practicable we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue. On termination or expiry, your right to use the software ends, subject to any rights that must continue by law.

20. General

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer your subscription without our written consent, except where mandatory law provides otherwise. We may transfer our rights and obligations as part of a genuine business reorganisation, financing or sale, provided this does not reduce mandatory consumer rights.

21. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future purchases or renewals to reflect product, legal or operational changes. Material changes affecting an existing subscription will be communicated where required. The version in force when you purchase or renew will apply subject to mandatory law.

22. Governing law and disputes

For Business Customers, these terms and non-contractual disputes are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. For Consumers, this does not deprive you of mandatory protections or any right to bring proceedings in another court where applicable consumer law gives you that right. Please contact us first at support@clickdraft.co.uk so we can try to resolve a dispute promptly.
