Last updated: 21 September 2026

ClickDraft Ltd ("ClickDraft", "we", "us") is the controller of personal information used to operate the ClickDraft website, subscriptions, licensing system, customer support and our own business administration. Where a business customer gives us project information containing personal data solely so that we can perform a documentation service on its instructions, we may instead act as that customer's processor for that project data.

Who we are

ClickDraft Ltd, Company No. 17408939, registered in England and Wales. Registered office: 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London W1W 5PF, United Kingdom. Privacy enquiries can be sent to support@clickdraft.co.uk.

Information we collect

  • Account and licensing data: name, email address, organisation, plan, role, subscription status, ClickDraft account/user identifiers, installation identifiers, device labels, hashed device/fingerprint information, Revit version, client version and licence/security records.
  • Purchase and billing data: billing contact details, Stripe customer/subscription identifiers, plan/price information, payment status, tax information where supplied and transaction records. Payment card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by the ClickDraft website or licensing database.
  • Support and communications: messages, screenshots, diagnostic information and other information you choose to send to us.
  • Website and security data: IP address, browser/device information, request logs and security events generated by our hosting and security providers.
  • Documentation-service data: project files, model information, drawings, schedules, correspondence and any personal information contained in materials you provide for an agreed documentation project.

Core Revit processing

Core ClickDraft documentation automation runs locally inside Revit. The licensing service does not require us to upload your Revit model geometry or project drawings in order to run core automation. Licensing requests use the account, subscription, device and software-version information needed to verify entitlement and protect the licence.

Why we use personal information and our lawful bases

  • Contract: to take payment, provide subscriptions, activate and refresh licences, deliver support you request, and perform an agreed documentation service.
  • Legal obligation: to keep records and comply with tax, accounting, regulatory and lawful disclosure requirements.
  • Legitimate interests: to secure the service, prevent fraud and licence abuse, diagnose faults, maintain business and support records, defend legal claims and improve the reliability of ClickDraft. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider whether our interests are proportionate to your rights and expectations.
  • Consent: where the law requires consent, for example for non-essential storage/access technologies or optional marketing communications.

Who we share information with

We disclose personal information only as needed for the relevant service. Providers may include Stripe for checkout, subscription and payment processing; Cloudflare for website hosting, security, APIs and licensing infrastructure; Google Workspace for business email and support communications; Airwallex or other banking/settlement providers where applicable to business funds; and YouTube/Google if you choose to load an embedded video. We may also share information with professional advisers, authorities or courts where reasonably necessary or legally required.

International transfers

Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK transfer rules apply, we use an available lawful transfer mechanism, such as a UK adequacy regulation or appropriate contractual safeguards, and take reasonable steps to assess the protection available for the transferred information.

How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected. Typical periods are: active account and licensing records for the subscription period and normally up to 24 months afterwards for support, fraud prevention and dispute handling; support correspondence normally up to 24 months after closure; accounting, transaction and contract records generally up to six years where needed for tax, accounting or legal claims; and documentation-service working files normally up to 90 days after final delivery unless the project agreement, customer instructions, backups or legal requirements call for a different period. Security logs are retained according to operational need and provider settings and are periodically reviewed.

Documentation-service project data

If you send us a project for documentation, please provide only information reasonably needed for the project. Do not include special-category or highly sensitive personal information unless it is genuinely necessary and we have agreed in writing how it will be handled. Where we act as a processor, the ClickDraft Data Processing Addendum applies if incorporated into the project order or otherwise agreed.

Automated licensing decisions

The licensing system automatically checks matters such as active subscription status, supported Revit version and device limits. If an automated licensing result appears incorrect, contact support and we will review it.

Security

We use technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information, including access controls, HTTPS, signed licensing responses and restricted access to operational systems. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, so we also maintain incident-response procedures.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your personal information, object to certain processing, and receive certain information in a portable form. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. To exercise a right, email support@clickdraft.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Your right to object: where we rely on legitimate interests, you may have the right to object to that processing. You can also object to direct marketing at any time.

Complaints

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Children

ClickDraft is professional architectural software and is not directed to children. Purchases should be made by an adult or by a person authorised to act for an organisation.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when our product, providers or legal obligations change. We will publish the current version here and update the date above.
